Martha Martha Burtis works in the Division of Teaching and Learning Technologies at the University of Mary Washington.

She spends far too much time searching for missing files on her computer or on her desk, looking up phone numbers of people whom she calls on a regular basis, and refreshing Twitter and Google Reader. She’s open to any suggestions on how to break these bad habits and become a better, more efficient person — as long as she can still have fun.

On good days, she works with faculty at UMW and her colleagues in DTLT to change the world of higher education through the effective, creative, RIGOROUS (!) use of information technology.

You can find her on Twitter (mburtis), Skype (kauigrace), del.icio.us (mburtis), and occasionally (when she can justify going in during work hours or she can squirrel away some computer time at home) in Second Life (Lolo Primbee). If you see her, say hello. It will make her feel good.
